Best and Safest Places to go This Summer
It seems the tourism experts have spoken and it's time to book our vacations and trips across the States to visit relatives who we have not seen in months. And with the increasing number of people getting their Covid 19 vaccines Americans are starting to plan travel to spend time with much missed family and friends.
But where are the best and safest places to go, and what are the current safety guidelines for general travel across the US at this moment? Figures show that a staggering 85% of us Americans are planning to travel this summer and quite a few of those are planning more than one holiday. Confidence in booking must be a priority and making sure you are aware of state-by-state regulations regarding hotel capacity’s is also very important.
So where are we going to this summer, what are the best travel deals and what sort of vacations are we booking?
What are the best late travel deals?
Common sense and trends sort of suggest that destinations that offer social distancing such as national parks, road trips and private vacation rentals are very popular. So, with this in mind finding the best last minute travel deals is paramount because of the limited availability offered with booking accommodation and restaurants means you need to either get that late deal or plan far ahead.
What Caribbean Islands Are Open to Americans?
If you are looking further afield but don’t want the added fuss when returning home to the US, then the Caribbean resorts are currently very popular and very busy. Everything you can possibly want and need and all in one place seems to be the sensible vacation choice and finding the best Caribbean travel deals is literally just a click away.
Antigua and Barbuda reopened its borders and airport in June last year and as long as you have taken a test within seven days of travel you will not have to quarantine on your return. Aruba has a few more requirements but essentially is safe to travel there and back home without much fuss. The Bahamas, Bermuda and the Dominican Republic are also safe to holiday on but as like most of the Caribbean island’s proof of vaccinations required and some paperwork.
As with all US travel in and out for the foreseeable future its best to check each individual states rules on travel, vaccine rules and restrictions and if there are any quarantine issues you need to be aware of. Finally, it’s been a traumatic few months and we all need to unwind a little, but a few minutes research and checking the latest Covid updates and not only will you get a great tan but you will also come home safe and well.
