Happy 4th of July!
On July 4, it is America’s most loved holiday which is known as Independence Day. It is a day to celebrate the rich history America has to offer. It is a day where the country comes together to celebrate the amount of freedom they are given from our founding fathers and activists over time.
Fourth Traditions
In 1776, the 13 colonies claimed their official independence from England which was the main event of forming the country we know as the United States of America today. Since this day, America has celebrated the birth of its nation. Even though Independence Day didn’t become a federal holiday until 1941.
Since the beginning of the country’s birth, Americans of all ages have come together to celebrate the holiday with multiple traditions. Some early traditions were parades, music festivals, and bonfires. They would do public readings of the Declaration of Independence. They would fire muskets and cannons at night. Overtime, these became fireworks as a salute to honor the 13 colonies.
My Favorite Tradition
My personal favorite is Fourth of July parades. I️ participated in my town's event every single year growing up as a cheerleader. Our town’s event would go on all day long. We would start with a city-wide pancake breakfast, then the parade, and finally activities all day like sporting events, kid inflatables, and live music that led up to our fireworks. It has always brought joy to my small town for as long as I️ can remember. Even as our city grows, It is still nice to see all the local communities come together to celebrate the rich history of our country.
Our Picks
With day long traditions to go through, you are going to need a pick-me up. Or at least, I️ know I️ am definitely going to need one! Bodum, a sustainable coffee and tea brand, is my number one pick. To honor the country’s major holiday, they have a deal for Fourth Of July where you can get up to 55% off.
For coffee, my favorite product is the French press coffee maker “CAFFETTIERA”. My favorite is the pink one but they come in multiple colors. For my Tea drinkers, my favorite product is the Tea Press porcelain teapot “DOURO”. It comes in both white or black. It is so classy looking which will impress whoever you start your day with this Fourth of July.
